Due to the high paced needs of the Intellectual Property Practice Group we are looking for a confident candidate with high energy and the drive to learn and grow their skills. Examples of this position’s duties include:
Trademark searching, clearance, prosecution, office action responses, and maintenance of trademark portfolios
Matters in front of the TTAB – Opposition and Cancellation Proceedings
Handling and organization of international trademark filings and portfolios
Investigation and analysis of trademark and copyright infringement
Drafting cease and desist letters
Drafting license, settlement, coexistence, and assignment agreements involving trademarks and copyrights
Online counterfeit enforcement programs
Trademark and copyright litigation – with experience in drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Advertising, promotions and sweepstakes law
Copyright analysis and preparation and filing of copyright applications
Analysis of FDA regulations and food packaging
Analysis of privacy laws and compliance
Drafting website agreements, including privacy policies, terms of use, cookie policies, compliance with GDRP, CCPA, etc.
Legal research and drafting memorandums
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years law firm experience in the practice of trademark and copyright law
The position requires a J.D.
Bar admission in at least one U.S. State, Connecticut and New York admissions a plus
Strong organizational, writing, verbal, and research skills
Experience and competency of privacy law and FDA regulations a plus
