Due to the COVID 19 pandemic crisis, the Internal Revenue Service and the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services announced that Federal and Connecticut income tax filings and payments that would be due April 15, 2020 have been extended to July 15, 2020, without any penalties or interest.
These filing and payment extensions include the following:
- Personal Income Tax Returns (Forms 1040s and CT-1040s)
- Trusts and Estates (Forms 1041 and CT-1041)
There is also an extension for the payment of estimated income tax payments for the 1st Quarter of 2020 from April 15th to July 15th.
